The Hampton Roads Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America (HRDBIA) is offering academic scholarships for the purpose of assisting students interested in pursuing a career in engineering, design, construction and related professions. Applications will be accepted April 15th - June 15th for the upcoming academic year (2024-2025) and scholarships totaling up to $5,000 may be awarded, and the awards announcement will be made by July 19, 2024. 

 

To apply you must be a member, dependent of a member, an employee of a member of the HRDBIA, or be sponsored by such member. You must be a full-time student enrolled in a construction, engineering or design curriculum at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2024 or be currently enrolled in a construction-related course in a vocational school or career development program. All college or university applicants must be entering school during the next academic year to be eligible.

 

Applications will be evaluated based on the applicant's past academic performance, relationship of course study to the engineering, design and construction industry, extracurricular activities, community involvement, work history, and attitude.
